About Our Research

Our research mandate is to identify emerging and under-researched companies. Our focus is on ASX-listed small and mid-cap companies.

Foster Stockbroking has developed a reputation for providing a high quality research product that is well regarded by our institutional client base.

Our analysts possess a diverse background in finance, mining, technology, science and economics and aim to provide timely publication of research on small and mid – capitalisation stocks that are viewed as being undervalued or neglected by the market.

We typically limit our research coverage universe to no more than 30 stocks at any one time, which better enables us to provide regular and insightful analysis on those companies we do choose to cover.

Our research publications include formal Research Reports and Lunch-Time Bites.

We produce institutional grade Research Reports, prepared by highly qualified and highly experienced analysts who have considerable expertise in identifying under-researched and under-valued companies.

Our Analysts adopt a rigorous analytical approach, which includes an analysis of ASX releases; site visits; access to management; industry and product analysis; financial modelling; and a valuation of the company.

Of prime importance is the integrity of our research, and we adhere to ASIC regulatory guidelines to fully manage, avoid and disclose conflicts of interest or potential conflicts of interest.

Lunch-Time Bites mostly discusses stocks for which Foster Stockbroking does not provide formal research coverage. It combines both the dealing desk’s market view and basic research analysis. The aim is to offer clients additional investment ideas that lie outside the firm’s universe of formally covered stocks. However in some instances Lunch-Time Bites will also discuss the latter, mostly to reiterate recent research.
